What is Deeper?
Every Wednesday night in term time, we gather centrally around tables to eat together and dig deeper into the Bible in small groups. Whether you’ve done Alpha, are exploring faith, or have been following Jesus for years, you’re so welcome.
At LPC, we encourage everyone who calls this church home to join us at Deeper - it’s where we grow in faith, build community, and journey together.
How Deeper Works
7:30pm - Dinner
The evening begins with dinner together. It's a relaxed time to meet new people, catch up with friends, and build community before we begin.
8:00pm - Welcome & Worship
We'll gather together for a short welcome, followed by a time of worship as we fix our eyes on Jesus and prepare our hearts to hear from God's Word.
8:15pm - Bible Study in Groups
We then split into our table groups, where our table leaders guide us through a Bible study. Together we'll open God's Word, explore what it means, and discuss how it shapes our lives today. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions—no question is a silly question—and everyone is encouraged to take part at their own pace.
9:00pm - Prayer
We finish our time in groups by praying together, responding to what we've been studying in Scripture and bringing our lives, joys, and challenges before God.
9:15pm - Finish
We finish the evening at 9:15pm, with plenty of time afterwards to chat and get to know one another.
Content
This year at Deeper we'll be taking a journey through the whole Bible with our Bible Overview series.
Rather than studying one book at a time, we'll trace the Bible's single, unified story from Genesis to Revelation, seeing how every part fits together and points to Jesus.
Whether you're reading the Bible for the first time or have been studying it for years, this series will help you understand how the different books connect, grow in confidence as you read Scripture, and see the beauty of God's unfolding plan of salvation.
